SERVICES

Membership Entry Screen: It is used to maintain a database for selected customers who highly patronize the shop.  Such customers can easily be classified by the system for special offers including discounts.


Cashier’s Data-Entry Window: This is used by each of the cashiers for selling stock items at the sales point. Bar-codes scanning options are available. An unlimited number of such forms can be made available for as many cashiers as would be required.


Daily Refunds Entry Form: It is used to process items returned by customers. The stock quantities are automatically updated when returned items are processed.


Invoices-in Entry Form (purchases): It is used to capture new products that have been purchased. Purchase invoice(s) or waybill(s) usually accompanies these items. The stock quantity of each item is updated (i.e. added to stock) when they are entered through the invoice-in form.

Invoices-Out Entry Window (sales or transfers): It can be used to capture products that are being transferred, sold in bulk, or taken out of stock due to expiry, damage, etc. Products entered through this window are considered as issues and so are deducted from stock.

Stock Enquiry Window: It can be used to extract some information about a particular stock item; these include opening, receipt and issue quantities as well as supplier information.​

OASIL POINT-OF-SALE SYSTEMS (OPOS)

FEATURES & BENEFITS

Main System Menu: This is used to create and manage stock, handling of invoicing, sales at various cashier points, reporting, etc.  Some of the menu items also have sub-menus.  

New-Goods-to-Stock Data Organization and Maintenance Form: It is used to capture all information about a stock item; information usually captured includes name or description, product price, and quantity.


Debtors/Creditors Form: used for the creation of debtors and creditors accounts. The debit and/or credit field(s) is/are automatically updated by the system whenever any payments or receipts are made in respect of the account. It is also possible to directly key in the payments or receipts.

Purchase order Entry Screen: It is used for ordering new stock items from suppliers. Information regarding items that can be ordered from any particular supplier are readily available for reference.

MANAGEMENT TEAM

Yaw Opoku Ansah- Managing Director

                                       Yaw Poku Ansah is the Chief Executive Officer of OASIL. He is                                         a Computer Programmer and a System design Analyst, who                                             has attained over thirty years of working experience in                                                     Computer Programming, Systems Analysis & Design, Data                                               processing Management, and Banking. He has been involved                                           in the design, programming, and implementation of application                                          software packages such as Point-of-Sale (POS), Accounting &                                          Payroll, Health Management System, and Banking                                                            applications among others. 

He worked with Ashanti Goldfields Corporation for five years as the Computer Programmer and later as Senior Computer Programmer. He also worked with National Investment Bank for ten years as Systems Analyst and Head of Data Processing Department.

Yaw Poku Ansah holds a BSC in Computer science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana (1978-1981). He majored in Computer Science & Data Processing management. He also holds a professional certificate in NCC systems analysis and design in United Kingdom.
He is a member of the Institute of Management Information Systems and the British Computer Society (United Kingdom).

Yaw Abrefa Ansah- General Manager- Operations

                                 Yaw Abrefa Ansah is the General Manager of operations for OASIL. He                                        worked with IPMC as Marketing Manager responsible for corporate IT                                        training from 2012 -2014. He has fifteen years of working experience.

 

                                  He worked with American Link Estates New York as IT Manager 2017                                         -2018. He developed a transportation system to dispatch drivers, PTT                                         communication and valet parking software in Hilton Westchester in New                                     York from (2018-2020).

 

He has been a Free Lance IT support for organizations in Ghana and in New York City Metro area for the past ten years.  He has provided IT support services to Office automation for the past 12 years.

He graduated with a BA in Sociology and Information Systems from University of Ghana, Legon in (2008-2012). He obtained his MSC degree in Information Systems from Pace University, New York from (2015-2016).

He is a member of the Project Management Institute NYC chapter. 
 

Deborah Mingle- General Manager-Finance 

                              Deborah Mingle is the General Manager for Finance for OASIL and                                  has thirty two years of working experience in finance. She worked at                                the Ashanti Goldfields Co-operation (Obuasi) as Payroll Supervisor                                  for four (4) years.

 

She also worked with Tetteh Addico & Co Auditing firm for another four (4) years before joining Office Automation Systems International Limited from 1997-date. 
She has an MBA from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom 

Godwin Quaye Okai-Chief Software Programmer

Prince Michael Aryeetey- Hardware Engineering & Network Manager

Emmanuel Adu Otibu- Systems Support Analyst

                                    Godwin Quaye Okai is the Chief software Programmer at OASIL.                                        He has many years of practical experience in Computer System                                        Analysis and Design, Computer Programming, Database                                                  Management, and Processing. He has been involved in the                                             design, programming, and implementation of application                                                 software packages such as Point-of-Sale (POS), Accounting &                                          Payroll, Health Management System, and Banking Applications, among others.

 He has over 25 years of working experience in such areas as scientific instrumentation and research, computer application software design, programming, implementation, and support.
He worked with Ghana Education Service as a graduate teacher for a year and taught Physics and Mathematics at Bremen Asikuma Secondary School (BASS) after completing 2-year National service in the same capacity at the school.
 
He worked with Ghana Statistical Service as Assistant Statistician for a year and with the Industrial Research Institute of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) as Instrumentation and Research Officer for eight years, during which he acquired professional training in Scientific Instrumentation and Metrology in India and China.
 
He joined Office Automation as a System Analyst and Computer Programmer in 2001 to date for which, he has acquired professional training in Computer Programming techniques at Revelation Software Ltd (Sprezzatura) in the United Kingdom.
 
He graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi-Ghana, with a Bachelor of Science (BSc - 2nd Upper Division) Degree in Physics (1982-1986). He also holds Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from Queen’s College, University of Cambridge, England (1989-1990). He obtained the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Programme in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana (1996-199).

                                   Prince Michael Aryeetey is the Hardware engineering and Network                                          Manager at OASIL. He has over twenty years of working experience                                       in IT hardware engineering and network administration.                                                           He Worked with Syldak Systems Ltd for two years as a computer                                             hardware field technician, Computer Maintenance and Services Ltd                                         (CMS) for two years as computer hardware and optical code readers                                       support technician for WAEC Accra, Goldtech Ghana Ltd for two years as Assistant Superintendent in charge of installation and maintenance of Reuters News Agency satellite equipment in Ghana, and National Investment Bank Ltd for seven years as an ICT technician in charge of the Bank network installation, configuration, and security. He has worked as freelance IT hardware engineering, maintenance, and installation for over four years. He joined office Automation in 2011 to date.
He graduated from Royal Technical and Engineering College as an Electronics &Telecommunication engineering technician (City & Guilds of London Institute). He acquired computer hardware training at Micap Engineering Services Ltd, Ghana. He obtained CCNA at Atlantics Computer Training Institute as an ICT network administrator.

He worked with SIC Limited as IT                                         Officer, Cocoa Marketing Company as Field Supervisor, and later                                     joined Office automation in 2016.

                                   Emmanuel holds a BSC in Information Technology from Ghana Technology University College (2012-2016).
